Saw this last night after seeing the good reviews on IMDb and rotten tomatoes. Definitely feel like I was swindled. It was alright. I would only recommend this if you want to go feel depressed for 2hrs. The user reviews on rotten tomatoes is more in line with reality. Uncut gems budget. Uncut gems rotten tomatoes. Like most, I was shocked Adam Sandler had it in him to make such a movie. I felt empathy for his character, which I rarely feel in modern movies. For that alone he deserves an Oscar nomination.
Having lived there growing up, found the characters very believable. Was actually shocked at how good a job even Kevin Garnet did. The movie flowed well through all scenes.
Manhattan can often be a loud, fast moving, fast talking place where careers are won and lost in the blink of an eye. The movie captured that accurately. I bet his gambling addiction all started with loot boxes. I honestly wasnt expecting this at all but it still happened.

It was also very well put together. The loudness and the energy this movie brought had me in awe!
The first thing people think about when they see Adam Sandler as the typical comedian he is, but in this film he proves us all wrong. Every single actor/actress in this movie did an incredible job, not once did it have a scene that was not entertaining. I recommend this movie to anybody that loves action and excitement as much as I do.
If I could watch this movie 3 more times, I would in a heartbeat. So if you think you have enough time in your day and want to really see a really great movie. Uncut Gems is the way to go, I PROMISE you WON'T be disappointed.

His review is absolutely spot-on. The movie moves at a frenetic pace, I felt my hand sweating just a little bit watching each scene. Sometimes almost too chaotic, but being an ex New Yorker for 37 years the scenes in and around New York AR so genuine.
